- deltarune
- dear god the tumblr sexymen never stop. h-how?!?!?!
- legend of zelda: the minish cap
- honorary mention for being one of the first video games i have memories of playing. very nice soundtrack.
- undertale
- toby fox, what have you done to us? a game filled with loveable characters, actions, and their consequences. the ost cannot be understated---when i was younger, i worked on covers of a significant part of the soundtrack. the game still holds up a decade later. oh shit, it's been a decade. umm....also the first time i was significantly involved in a fandom (anyone remember amino? ahhh...those were days). yes, i did read and write sans/reader fics. rip to that underswap!papyrus "caged criminal" fic---one of the few that continues to live in my head and hasn't paid rent. uhhh flowey is not a good life coach and all sans/chara fics belong there too.
- killer chat
- the premise is "you're a writer and you end up in a chatroom full of serial killers." i played it because i thought it would be funny tumblr cringe, and i was very surprised by how much i liked it. these were characters who also happen to be serial killers, which is to say that all of them felt like real people. i liked getting to know each of them. i went for ronin and v on my first two playthroughs. ronin was a very cliche bad boi who is there to mess with you. mwah. v is a vigilante...!
- needy streamer overload
- i do not understand the hype for this game. there was hype about it, right? i'm not imagining things? the characters were flat. i hated trying to balance the effect my actions had on the character's stats. it was too easy to make her love p-chan too much. i also really hated the cutting scenes and wished there was a way to get out of them without having her cut herself.
- pockeDate
- another entry into the "characters know they're in a game" genre, sort of. short gameplay. nothing wrong with it, but it doesn't stand out either.
- slay the princess
- turned me into a completionist for a visual novel, which is not something i ever thought i'd be. i love how this game plays with the narrative and the characters' roles. i think my favorite princess is the razor. truly, she is the ideal woman.
- undertale: act to flirt
- i should know better than to download a dating sim. the idea of flirting with everyone made me uncomfortable (then why were you playing?), and i nearly got into the equivalent of the genocide route on accident. i think muffet and papyrus were the only characters whose hearts i didn't break. i did accidentally get into sans' route though. how interesting.
- dark souls ii remastered (switch)
- i am theoretically capable of understanding combat in this game. in practice, i fail. seems like an interesting game tho.
- paper mario: the thousand year door
- super paper mario
- yoshi's crafted world
- infinity nikki
- finally...clarity to the story of the nikki series! but also not, wtf was that recon.
- life makeover
- having high quality r/sr clothes detracts from the ssr/ur clothes. really nice looking game. tons to do.
- shining nikki
- unhinged story. beautiful clothes. addictive gacha. 10/10 do not play again.
- where winds meet
- a+ graphics. can't believe it's free. played for 86 hours before deleting it, most of which was in the first three weeks of its release. wtf is wrong with me.
